Started in 1996, we've been working to develop healthy, friendly goats that produce high quality milk with reasonable maintenace. Genetic strength, high productivity, great foraging instinct and a friendly personality are the traits we're selecting for, all wrapped up in a conformationally correct healthy goat.

Hames & Axle Farm is located in Ashburnham, MA, near the New Hampshire state line.
Along with our nigerian dwarf herd, we also have a small diversified farmstead, including making and selling value
added products, such as our Surfing Goat Soaps products. We mentor many different people
and direct the North Country Sustainability Center, a regional center for community resilience.
