Miracle Elation was a long time coming. Wonder was the first doeling born to us, back in 1997. She's given us many beautiful kids, but all of them male. This was Wonder's last breeding, and she finally gifted us with a girl.
These pictures only begin to show the beauty in this girl. She has tremendous length of body, and I do mean Tremendous! She's straight and long, deep in the barrel and well blended. Her color doesn't show well here, but she's a furryblend of cinnamon red, gold and black. She has the distinctive Leighstar dorsal stripe and long neck, and from the looks of it, the Leighstar teats as well. The productivity of this line, combined with that of her Rosasharn dam, promises great things when she starts putting milk in the bucket.
Though we sold her sire, Awan, we treasure the genetic diversity he brought with him from Montana. He is a very dairy boy, and this carries on his daughter.

Though both her
babies have been single, Miracle has done very well milking. She is still
milking after 330 days this year (2008), and looking like 2008 will give us
more than one baby. We can't wait to see how she does with a real demand on
her.
