Mudslide is special. Born with a twisted neck, we grew a little attached while we bottle fed her and held her to her mother. She's strong though, and is now indistinguishable from the other does her age. She shows much of what we've come to expect from her mother's line, a strong topline, great length of body and waddles!

It's going to be fun to watch this little girl grow up. I doubt she'll ever leave here, out of sheer sentimentality.

Mudslide had a horrendous first freshening, carrying a single, huge buck kid. Though it took a vet
to get her out, and we lost the baby, Mudslide has come through wonderfully. We're a little worried
about future kiddings, so we'll be very careful when making choices for our special girl in the future.
Meanwhile, she makes us smile just by showing up in the barn during milking. I do love that little white "milk spot," on her chin!
