Jewelyet has given us several doe kids over the years, but
circumstances did not allow for us to keep any of them. This year I decided
that if she did give us another girl, that girl was staying here, no matter what. I'm awfully
glad I decided that, because Patina is beautiful. Her sharpness and dairy character
are obvious. Now we'll have to wait and see how the milk lines combine in this
beautiful little girl.
Patina is nearing breeding age and her refinement continues to shine.
She's not as open at the ribcage as her companion junior does, but I've learned
that time can bring many wonderful things. Jewel was the same way, and now
she' s one of my deepest and widest does. Patina is full of personality,
though a little standoffish with humans. I love goats! They are all so different.
