Ruby as a dry yearling.
Ruby is from a friend's herd, and I gladly brought her into mine. She reminds me of her grand-dam Carmel, with her spring of rib, and her solid red coloring. Ruby brings some well-respected bloodlines into the herd, blended with our own Sam Etrical. I am delighted that she's with us, and look forward to watching Ruby grow and see how she compares to her half-sister, Touch oFrost.
Ruby is a wonderful milk maker, and apparently a buck maker. This beautiful girl has yet to give us a girl! But boy can she milk. The record doesn't do her justice as 2 tests were missed in 07, just at peak production. But she held her lactation very well. Let' s hope 08 allows her to show how much milk she can give, and that 09 lets her pass it on to a daughter.
