We've waited a good while for Wind Chime. Scotch has always blessed us with wonder-ful kids, but Rusty hasn't been used widely here yet. He brings the outstanding genetics of Tiger L, Uni and Eclipse from the Rosasharn herd into Hames & Axle. Scotch is a Tom Thumb daughter herself, so we were delighted to see quints come out of this breeding. Though only 3 survived, the ones who did are beautiful.
Wind
Chime has her sire's colors and width behind, but the length of body, strength
of topline and outstanding brisket that we've come to expect from Scotch.
As she matures, she stands even more proudly on those front legs.
I love the look of this girl. She is elegant and very dairy, reminding me
very much of a little oberhasli. Her daughter, Rhapsody is staying her, at
least for awhile. We're pleased to say that WindChime will be staying on to
show us how much milk that Rusty Scotch Cross can really produce!
