Tessa, Our Golden Girl

Meet Corbec's Tessaract. She's our golden retriever from the Corbec kennels in
New York. This was taken on Tessa's first day retrieving at the pond near us.
She loved it! as we expected, coming from the of field goldens that she does.
Goldens have been a part of the Stewart family for many years. With us, it
started with Ora Dodger Seeger Sax. Seeger came to our wedding! Seeger
loved to retrieve, but she wasn't quite as good at bringing back part as Tessa is.
Unfortunately, Seeger succombed to the dread of golden diseases, cancer, and we
lost her several years ago. Now there's Tessa, who is the beginning of our line of
goldens. The Walsh's, Tessa's breeders, have been breeding field goldens for years.
They share our concern for over-inbreeding, and carefully outcross with show lines occasionally. Tessa is one of those outcrosses. It worked for her I know! Tessa goes back through the Corbec line to dogs from both the world of field and the world of show. Tessa has won
the hearts of many people, especially those who long for
the return of the "old style versatile golden."
