Wonder is very special here at Hames & Axle Farm. She was the first doe born to us, with well-respected bloodlines, and lots of potential. First, we were afraid to show her. Then we couldn't because of an unfortunate incident that left her with half an udder. She developed gangrene mastitis and sloughed the other side off. Nevertheless, she is a wonderful producer, both of milk and of kids, but she has never given us a doeling. Her son, Asa, was our pride and joy, and his spirit lives on in Peanut and Sam.

Wonder did it! She gave us a little girl. Thanks Wonder! I am constantly amazed at the volume of milk this girl can produce out of half an udder.

2007 - Due to rarity of her pedigree, and the fact that our Tom Thumb son seems to have gone sterile, we have decided to breed Wonder to her grandson, Sam. This is a rare occasion here, as we favor outcrosses at Hames & Axle Farm. But due some unfortunate circumstances, we find it very important to preserve the Tom Thumb traits in this herd, and this breeding will surely concentrate them. We are anxious to see how this works out. Wonder, give us one more girl!
