Well, it looks like Santa’s bringing a wonderful Christmas present to Cassie and Orion. If all goes well, they’ll be in their new home for Christmas. They have finally figured out a way to be in the herd, though they still don’t sleep with them. But a new family wants to start a milking herd, and Cassie and Orion took to them like bees to honey.

Puppet will soon be heading to her new home too, at Frog Hill Farm. We’ll miss this quiet beauty, but I know she’ll be loved well at her new home, and I’ll get to see her every once in a while.

Saying goodbye to my friends is one of the hardest parts of this job. But watching a new herd grow is very satisfying too.
