While we are preparing for the soapmaking workshop later this month, we are also dreaming of next year’s kids. We’re very pleased by the looks of this year’s kid crop, and look forward to furthering our “stamp” by using our 3rd generation bucks like Lucky. The milk is holding up well, which is good because we are feverishly making soap for the farmer’s markets we’ve been attending, and preparing for the Holiday Craft fairs. In the spirit of preparation, we are offering a Breeding and Kidding workshop in October to help others learn what to consider in making their sire selections.

Congratulations to Jim McGonagle and MCH Hames & Axle’s Gaugin ‘E’ 91.3 on having the award made official! This is very exciting to see our line doing so well, and helping another herd improve their standing as well.

More exciting news coming up, but that will have to wait. Enjoy the last of the warm weather, woodstove season is coming up quickly!
