Well, the peepers are peeping. The birds are singing. And a morning mist has settled over the hollow. Spring must be here. Good thing, we need a little rebirth around here.

Last night our Minuet had a special trip to Dr. Kerri Mitton’s for a birth assist. Though Minuet is fine, her large single buck did not make it. Thank you Kerri for taking the time to work so patiently with our little girl and get her big boy out. Minuet is a Chamisoul daughter, and looks just like her mom. She was bred to a small buck who has already sired some very small kids here out of Minuet’s littermate Roulette. But even with our best plans and knowledge at play nature still humbles us. The little buck was more than 5 lbs I’m sure, inside a doe that was not large enough to pass him through.

Next one up is Chamisoul herself, bred to the same buck as her daughters. She’s looking mighty unhappy and she’s just a week away from Day 145. Keep us in your prayers that everything goes well there.
